Suara.com – Setelah beberapa tahun banyak paten yang dirilis oleh Apple mengenai desain iPhone layar lipat, akhirnya ada kabar baik mengenai kedatangan perangkat tersebut. Bakal masuk pasar HP layar lipat, vendor HP tersebut akhirnya mengantongi paten engsel untuk perangkatnya.

Paten terbaru yang dirilis belum lama ini membawa kode US 12.164.344 yang merujuk pada iPhone layar lipat nantinya. Gambar paten tersebut memberi banyak gambaran mengenai perangkat anyar Apple ini.

Retrieved from GSM Arena, dalam gambar paten nampak dua jari yang saling terkait dan kopling gesekan di bagian tengahnya. Bagian penting dari paten ini adalah slot berbentuk bulan sabit yang memungkinkan tiap tautannya berputar.

Lebih lanjut, gambar paten tersebut memberi gambaran mengenai sumbu rotasi di luar tautan yang bisa bekerja sendiri nantinya. Paten tersebut dirilis secara luas dan menyebut jika akan digunakan di tablet, laptop dan jam tangan nantinya.

Dari deretan perangkat layar lipat lainnya di pasaran, diduga cuma Apple yang hadir dengan konsep tersebut. Sayangnya, masih belum diketahui apakah desain ini merupakan versi terbaru dan lebih baik daripada paten engsel sebelumnya.

Dalam paten ini nampak jari, pin dan roda gigi berkinerja bersama untuk membuat kopling kecil untuk jumlah gesekan, selain itu, engsel ini juga menjaga perangkat terlipat pada sudut yang diperlukan.

Di sisi lain, roda gigi pada engsel iPhone layar lipat ini diduga sengaja dihadirkan untuk memastikan bahwa kedua sisinya berputar dalam jumlah yang sama.

Sesuai laporan sebelumnya, Apple menjadi salah satu vendor HP yang saat ini sedang mempersiapkan kedatangan iPhone layar lipat dari keluarganya. Beberapa rumor menyebut jika perangkat ini akan membawa mode Flip dengan lipatan yang lebih besar.

Ini bukan kali pertama Apple belajar mengenai perangkat layar lipat. Pasalnya, metode kerja yang sama sempat muncul di MacBook perangkat tersebut. Meskipun begitu, Ming-Chi Kuo menyebut bahwa Apple mengalami masalah teknis yang serius ketika mempersiapkan tampilan perangkat.
