WhatsApp doesn't support older iPhones

WhatsApp doesn't support older iPhones, one of the world's most popular instant messaging apps, announced that starting May 5, 2025, it will no longer support a number of Apple and Android phone models. The new policy was put in place by Meta, the company behind WhatsApp, and will affect iPhone users whose devices do not meet the app's latest software requirements. A total of 19 older device models, including the iPhone 5, will no longer be able to use WhatsApp after that date. In fact, the iPhone 5 is still quite widely used today.
