WhatsApp tidak mendukung iPhone lama, salah satu aplikasi pesan instan paling populer di dunia, mengumumkan bahwa mulai 5 Mei 2025, aplikasi ini tidak lagi mendukung sejumlah model ponsel Apple dan Android. Kebijakan baru ini diberlakukan oleh Meta, perusahaan di balik WhatsApp, dan akan memengaruhi pengguna ponsel iPhone yang perangkatnya tidak memenuhi persyaratan perangkat lunak terbaru aplikasi tersebut.
Sebanyak 19 model perangkat lama, termasuk iPhone 5, tidak lagi dapat menggunakan WhatsApp setelah tanggal tersebut. Padahal, iPhone 5 masih cukup banyak digunakan hingga saat ini.
