Sebagai syarat memasarkan produk di Indonesia, Apple harus mengajukan proposal skema investasi setiap tiga tahun. Proposal ini juga menjadi dasar untuk mendapatkan sertifikat TKDN. Sayangnya, Apple belum menyelesaikan kewajiban investasi periode 2020–2023, sehingga sempat menunda kehadiran iPhone 16 di pasar Indonesia.
